The Hot Sale has become a major event for online sales in Mexico. Once again, it presented a double-digit growth with an increasement of 77% in turnovers. Moreover, 9 out of 10 consumers claimed to be satisfied with Hot Sale’s promotions and 80% of shoppers assured to feel safe when purchasing online. This shows that the confidence of Mexican consumers over eCommerce is increasing.
BeOn participated in the confection of AMVO’s (the Mexican Association for online sales) new Hot Sale Report. For this edition, we analyzed the visibility that brands had in the most relevant retailers of the country through Perfect eStores tool.
In this report you will be able to find, for example, which brands had the greatest visibility in each category. In the 2019 edition, at the Alcoholic Beverages category, Corona, Heineken, Johnnie Walker, Buchanan’s and Modelo reached the top 5 rank. As for Electronics, Samsung, Huawei and Sony were the three most visible brands.
In this case, most of eTailers presented a 23% of Equity banners, which are art pieces created for brand awareness or product campaign- and a 77% of Promotional banners. Within the last one, and even though most of them belonged to discounts, it is worth noting the growth of free delivery promotions.
